This fabulous antique Edwardian 15ct Yellow Gold Suffragette pendant is Circa 1910. The beautiful pendant is adorned with a central violet Amethyst, green Peridot and decorated in cream Pearls with a lovely Pearl dropper.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet Green and White colours which were chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking! Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes.
The pendant is set in a fancy 15ct Yellow Gold gallery which is displayed hanging from Gold chains attached to the bale. It is a beautiful eye catching piece that would look stunning displayed on a Gold chain.

Measures 41mm across x 27mm down x 42mm down hanging from the bale.
Amethyst measures 5mm across x 7mm down.
